National Coffee Day!

Its national coffee day and I need morreee this morning.. that is for sure...
Everyday I bring one cup to work and usually NEVER drink a full cup.  I like when my coffee is hot and can't drink it once its the slightest bit cold so the bottom 1/4 of my coffee is usually left in my cup.  Today I downed the whole cup...and need more...ahhh im soo spacey and sleepy...stupid monday mornings...
ANYWAYS..

So Thursday I went to my friend Robyn's house and got to play with baby Brodie and my main man Dominic.  Gosh those kids are so damn cute.

Friday- Matt and I went to Apex Orchards in Shelburne, MA and went apple picking.

It was the perfect day for it too! I was so nice out.  They only had Mcintosh and Cortlands to choose from so we picked both and split the bag. yum yum I wanna make an apple crisp.  I'm eating one right now as I write this post...this might sound weird but I like to slice it up and put cinnamon and....salt on the slices!! OH SO GOOD... don't diss it until you try it!

Saturday night we went to Quarters after I got out of work.  Matt always likes to start off playing Tapper :)  This place is pretty fun and you can reveal your inner nerd.  I mean who wouldn't want to play arcade games and drink at the same time?  If anyone has the chance to go I recommend their fries with the truffle mayo...its to die for..and definitely not healthy haha...oops

Speaking of healthy....I'm gonna get my ass to the gym tonight! wooooo!  I haven't been in quite sometime...  I've been sooo tired lately and when I get home from work I just lay on the couch and do nothing....so I decided maybe if I went to the gym it would give me a little more energy...we shall see!

What else?
oh!  I have been SUPER addicted to this game on my iphone...
It's so freaking addicting.. Sometimes it makes me quite frustrated but I managed to beat all the levels available and also got high scores in each level...yes...I am THAT addicted... Please update this app soon with more levels!!!!!!! Also if you haven't played it...go download it ...now!

That's all I got for noww <3 xoxoxo

Hello Fall! I've missed you..

Breathe innnnnnnn...can't you smell it in the air? The smell of leaves, the crisp air, apples, pumpkins...
HAPPY FALL!!!

This is my absolute favorite time of the year!! I love everrrrything about it...Here's a list of my favorite things to do in the fall:
  • Drinking hard cider (Sugar and cinnamon rim)
  • Snuggling under blankets
  • Carve/Paint Pumpkins
  • Roast pumpkin seeds
  • Go to my all time favorite place...Salem, MA
  • Make my Halloween Costume
  • Get new cute boots
  • Go to a corn maze
  • Go apple picking

  • Celebrate Halloween <3
  • Make something pumpkin flavored
  • Watch as many scary movies as possible (Speaking of scary movies....its really funny because I used to be TERRIFIED of scary movies...When I was younger...even in high school, if all my friends were going to the movies to see a scary movie I wouldn't go.  Now I absolutely love them and realized they are not as scary as I thought...well most of them.  I still won't watch Paranormal Activity because I don't like the fact that you can't see what it is...and I do believe in spirits so this is a movie I am just not ready for..even though I have heard that it isn't THAT bad.  Another kind of movie that I don't like is EXTREME bloody movies.... I've seen most of the Saw movies and I like those because of the story part...it's just they could have shyed away a littttttttttle from the gore..But I guess that;s what makes it scary..)
  • Watch Halloween themed movies
Oh boy am I excited!!!

So another thing I love in Fall is the fairs!  We already went to the local fair...and this past week we went to another one..The Big E!  This one is much more exciting because there is so much more to look at.  There are 6 state Buildings that have everything themed from that State.  There is Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and Rhode Island.  We went in all except RI because at that point we were hungry and ready to find yummy food.  I wish I took more pictures but this is what I have:

Of course we had to check out the animals!

The elephant was my favorite :)

Left: A deep fried almond joy...I don't think I need to say more....Right: is a man in the Vermont building making maple candy

Left: Woodchuck hard cider with a sugared and cinnamon rim YUMM it was delish!! Right:Yuengling Light..first time trying this and I am definitely NOT a beer fan...but this was so light and crisp it was pretty good

Left: Fried pickles.....SOOO GOOD...Right:I saw a girl holding a Gismo from Gremlins and told Matt I HAD to have him!!!! We went to the game section and found that it was a prize to my favorite game!  The one where you squirt the water and try to make it to the top first!...I had to win twice to win this baby.. Matt won the first time and then I won the second :)  I was a very happy girl after winning him.  It was a fun night.

Life Update....

Ohhh man have I neglected this blog....I've just been so busy with things and not really in the mood to be blogging...oh where do I start?

I guess I will start with my Dad...the last round of chemo did not work either and they told us there was nothing else they could do because the leukemia was immune to the chemo and was too strong..they said he would only have a few weeks or months to live....this was about a month ago...

This made me feel more depressed than ever....everyday I would space out and cry and not even be able to think straight.  This is not what my Dad wanted..he wants to just be happy...Thankfully I had a regular doctors appointment and she knew the whole situation and asked if I wanted a prescription to help.  I said yes, and thankfully I did....I was always scared to take something like that but I am feeling much much better and glad that I did.  I feel normal now... Not masking the sadness but being able to deal a little better..
He is home as of right now.  Some days are better than others but each day he seems to be getting stronger from the pneumonia clearing up and his counts recovering from the chemo.  We did have to go back to the hospital for a few days last week because he had extreme pain in his tummy, at least that was an easy fix and things were just a little backed up...I won't go into detail...
For some reason the blasts (which is the leukemia) goes up and down, we are not sure what that means but I think it is making him stable...he does need blood every once and awhile but to be honest he acts and seems better than he has in awhile.. He eats normally now and can walk around the house without having to sit down in between a few steps.

A few days ago we got a call from the doctors that there is a clinical trial in Boston for my Dad.  We are very hopeful but don't know what it entails yet.  The consultation is the 24th and we have our
fingers crossed!

Lets see what did I do this month?...Oh! the Fair!  Me and Matt went to go to the local fair.  It was nice to do something fun and normal for once..
It's been the same thing since I was a kid but for some reason I always get excited to go!
We fed a bunch of animals :)

Basically we just walked around and ate a lot of super yummy food.  We shared everything.  First we had the most delicious pulled pork I ever had from a local guy that has his own business and huge smoker.  Then we got some periogies at a polish hut (YUM)...and then went back to the BBQ stand and tried some brisket.  Then for dessert we got fried dough with maple butter on it....yummmmm.  I bought a candy apple and shared it with my sister the next day.

Something else sad happened...

Last week one of my best friends dad passed away unexpectedly.  This was a huge shock because he had a heart attack out of the blue.  It was very sad and made me think of how hard it is to lose a parent and that everything she is going through I understand..

The same friend just had her new second baby boy last night.  It's kind of perfect timing to keep her and her family occupied to think of the good things in life and not the bad. I am very excited to meet him tonight!
Hmmm what else?......work.... I am finishing up at my job and thankfully my boss from the Country Club is amazing and wants me to help with event planning at the restaurant!  I am so thankful for him so that I don't have to take time to look for another job right now.  This transition will probably happen at the end of September..
I bought the Sims 4 the day it came out....I have been a Sims fan since the day the first Sims came out.  I enjoy playing it for endless hours haha...Although I think my Sim game high has come to an end.  There's not much you can do after you build a house, get married, have a kid... I feel bad when my Sims get old so I stop playing before that happens lol
My favorite season is approaching and that means I gotta get started planning a Halloween costume.  I take Halloween very seriously and LOVE to dress up!  I believe there will be a party at the country club where I work and I can't wait! I also can't wait for Halloween movies!! EEK It makes me so excited..

I am thankful that even though there is so much sad in my life right now that there is some happiness and hopefulness too.  I just hope that things take a turn for the better now instead of always being so down and sad.

Thank you for listening to my super long post and life update...
